Seung-Koo Lee studied Free Sculpting at Seoul’s Chung-Ang University. Then he continued studying art in Kiel and Stuttgart,Germany, starting in 2003. There, he met his Chinese wife. The couple moved to her native Beijing five years later.
His sculptures and installations are characterized by the intercultural balancing act of his career. They are snappy comments on cultural policy in China, but also about the political life as a father.
