Rosemarie Trockel, born 1952 in Schwerte, is a German visual artist and since 1998 professor at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Rosemarie Trockel is one of the most famous contemporary female artists. She became wellknown in the 80s with her knitting pictures.
