Georgios Derpapas, born in Katerini in 1937, was a Greek painter and graphic artist. He is considered a representative of Greek surrealism. Derpapas grew up in Thessaloniki, at the age of nineteen he moved to Hamburg where he studied business administration, in 1960 he devoted himself exclusively to painting. He had his first solo exhibition in the Hamburg artist club “die Insel”, and in 1967 he moved back to Greece. Derpapas died in Mykonos in 2014.
